Shamelessly nicked borrowed from Jennie of Sailboat, I saw this tag and just had to answer it to really get in the mood for autumn.
1. Okay, we’re talking coffee. What is your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero?
Uuhhhhm. Okay so I’m gonna to come out with a massive confession… I don’t like coffee. I feel like such a bad single twenty-something when I admit that, but it’s true. I seriously do not like nor understand the love for coffee that people have. I do however love a cup of tea. I don’t like any of this fancy-pants very berry tea or anything like that, I like me a bog standard milk and two sugars brew. Hence, there isn’t anything in particular that I like to order when I go into a coffee shop, however I will order myself a huge mug of tea in Cafe Nero from time to time whilst settling into a good book.
2. Accessories – What do you opt for – boots, scarf, gloves?
I have a red and black scarf that I’ve had for about three years (this has been a sudden realisation to me this past week when I dug all of my winter wardrobe out of storage) and I doubt I’ll ever part with it because it’s just about the most comfortable scarf in the world. I’m loving boots this season and I’ll probably be investing in another pair as well as plenty of jumpers.
3. Music – What do you love to listen to during the Autumn?
Oh man, my music preference is so varied and changes so often that I can’t pin-point exactly what I’ll be listening to. To be honest I’m sure I’ll be giving Taylor Swift’s Red another spin just because it’s the only album that I’ve really enjoyed and can listen to all the way through without skipping a track that I’ve owned in ages.
4. Perfume – what’s your favourite scent at this time of the year?
I’ve slowly been making way through the Boots body spritzer’s for a while now and I have one that was more of a summery scent that is only squirting out air by now. I’m overdue a visit to the perfume counter to stock up for the changing season – I know I’m so bad at being a girl.
5. Candles – which scents will you be burning this season?
I have two candles that I’ve been burning and will continue to do so as the colder nights draw in. I only keep to two candles at the most because my room is so small and that’s a very festive smelling one from Marks and Spencer (totally forgotten it’s name) and a little jar candle that I got from Primark a couple of days ago that’s a berry combination. I’m not too fussed with the smell of a candle right now, I’m generally just enjoying the light sources as they flicker in one corner of my room and make me feel all cosy.
6. What do you love most about Autumn?
The cosiness of inside, doesn’t everyone? I know it’s a nightmare for the cleaner of our store but I like how the leaves from the car-park come tumbling into my workplace because it makes me feel that with working so many hours the season is coming in to remind it’s still here and ready for me to enjoy when I get off of a shift.
7. Favourite make up look?
I love purple coloured eye-shadow, a strong cat-eye and berry lips at the mo. When I’ve got a day off and spend a lot of time putting my look together my makeup game is strong and often along these lines.
8. What are you looking forward to most during this season?
Being with family, cuddling up with my cats and being really productive. Oh and I’ll be making the most of the central heating in the house, when you’ve lived on your own in rented properties you really appreciate a plumbed in radiator.
What’s your favourite part about autumn, let me know!
